Talia’s Art and Floral Bat Mitzvah Party

With the help of an amazing vendor team, I put together a styled Bat Mitzvah party inspiration shoot with a “Color Outside the Lines” theme. I wanted to share some of the behind the scenes info, as well as some of my favorite images from the day. You can see the full gallery of images here.

The Location

The venue, Loft at 600F, located right near the Verizon Center in Washington, DC was perfect! The staff was so helpful and the modern, industrial vibe kept the Bat Mitzvah party set up from feeling too feminine.

The models, hair and make up and dresses

I had the honor of working with Talia and her amazingly sweet girlfriends for a fun afternoon of pampering, modeling and hanging out. The girls got their hair and make up done by the amazing TCBeauty. It was really important to us that the girls looked their best, but also looked like they were 13. TCBeauty definitely delivered on the hair and make up front, while It’s My Party Consignment helped with dresses that were adorable and age appropriate.

The Desserts

Sabrina at Occasionally Cake outdid herself with the cake, cupcakes, cake pops and cookies that fit the art theme perfectly. Plus, all of us (models and vendors!) enjoyed the leftovers once the shoot was done. Let’s just say, yum yum yummers!

The Pop!

All of the little details came together to make this shoot gorgeous. How about those flowers? EightTree Street came through with the most vibrant, beautiful arrangments that really made the tablescape. And the custom artist palette signage was hand calligraphed by Shrimp Salad Circus.

I’m not sure what it is, but this is one of my favorites. Maybe the logoed pillow from Party Favorites, the black and white pillows with all those pops of color (my favorite!) or how sweet Talia looks lounging?

Last, but not least, those incredible invitations from InvitingLee were the inspiration behind much of what you see. The wording was fun and cheeky, but the look was so sophisticated. Well done!
