2019 Year in Review

Each year gets bigger and bigger for Pop Color Events and it’s so nice to have a moment to look back over all that’s happened in 2019 and look on to an even bigger 2020. I’ve had many repeat clients this year and it’s so nice to watch these families grow and change. It’s also reminded me how I’ve neglected blogging in 2019 and I resolve to do better in 2020. I love sharing my events and experience with families currently planning their big days. However, I have quite a few events (all of them? oops?) that I never blogged about despite receiving the photos from the wonderful photographers. Enjoy these teaser photos as you await more images. Keep an eye out over the next few weeks while I catch up! I’ll also try to update this post linking to the events.

My 2019 started out very slow. January and February were months spent working on my business and connecting with vendor friends new and old. But once March came around, we really started rolling! March was a huge milestone where one of our favorite Event Assistants became a Lead Planner and took on her own client. It also was our second time working with Alex’s family for his sporty Bar Mitzvah with Seahawks colors.

Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah in had the most beautiful flowers.

Ryan’s video game Bar Mitzvah was complete with gaming stations.

Jordan’s Under the Sea Bat Mitzvah came together in only 6 weeks and I could not be prouder of the final result.

The last Bat Mitzvah of the spring season was Audrey’s elegant garden party. A real stunner.

The fall brought more events utilizing Lead Planners. Syndey’s rustic camp-themed Bat Mitzah was at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria.

Lily’s Broadway-themed Bat Mitzvah at Glen Echo Park was a team effort alongside one of my fabulous lead planners.

K’s hockey-themed Bar Mitzvah was the same day as Danielle’s beach-themed Bat Mitzvah, so another wonderful Lead Planner saved the day.

We created an extra-special tween-focused party for Ben at Pinstripes Georgetown.

Then finished out the year with another repeat client for Isaac’s sporty Bar Mitzvah at the newly updated DoubleTree Gaithersburg.
