3. Set the scene for comfort
Aim for steady light and controlled sound. Arrange seating and activities so kids can join in or take a breather without feeling singled out.
4. Provide a simple plan to follow
Share a clear schedule in plain language or visuals. Let the MC stick to a script. Predictability lowers stress and boosts confidence.
5. Offer activities beyond the dance floor
A DJ can be great, but it’s not the only way to celebrate. Include options that match your child’s interests so participation is always a choice.
6. Keep food and flow predictable
Label stations clearly and include familiar favorites. Pace transitions gently so decisions never pile up at once.
7. Create a calm space to reset
Set aside a low-stim area where anyone can step away, regroup, and return when ready. Judgment free, always.
