When I first met with Lana, she didn’t quite know what she wanted for her Bat Mitzvah party. However, once we got to chatting, it was very clear that she had some specific preferences. We took those ideas–from her love of tea to her heart for community service and brought those things together for her personalized Bat Mitzvah themed party at VisArts in Rockville. The theme, Lana to a Tea, allowed us to have a lot of fun by including all sorts of parts of her personality and interests.
Guests were greeted with escort cards tied to logoed mugs for tea which doubled as favors. Lana’s logo included her initials and nods to things she likes such as knitting, drumming, music, and swimming.
VisArts windows and paper lanterns added to the ambiance. The centerpieces included food that was later donated to a DC-area food pantry accented with flowers, potted succulents and greenery. Lana’s family created table numbers that included photos of her pets.
The tables also included a note from Lana about her Mitzvah project and the purpose of the centerpieces.
Lana loves to munch on popcorn, so guests left with chocolate covered popcorn as a late night snack.
It was a pleasure working with Lana’s family and they were pretty happy too!
Brynne and her team were fantastic – kept everything moving and attended to all the details that added up to make the event so special without me having to worry about it! Her vendor recommendations were also fantastic. We absolutely loved how it turned out. It was exactly what we described when we first met – warm and very reflective of Lana’s unique style. – Lana’s Mom
