It was such a joy working with Cameron’s family for his Around the World-themed Bar Mitzvah at Marriott Tysons Corner in Virginia. This event was truly special, as it felt deeply personal on many levels. Cameron’s mom and I met years ago when she was pregnant with Cameron’s younger sister, and I was pregnant with my oldest. This made my playing a small role in this milestone event incredibly meaningful for me. This family’s focus on their guests and their desire to honor the special people in their lives made this celebration even more heartwarming.
Adding to the personal connection was their MC, DJ Mike on the Mic, someone I’ve known for years from my earlier career as a youth advisor. Having these layers of personal relationships made the event feel like one big family reunion.
The decor featured a wonderful example of DIY done right. Centerpieces included paper lanterns perched on glass cylinders lit with fairy lights, which created a soft, enchanting glow. The lanterns were surrounded by votive candles, enhancing the warm and inviting atmosphere.
Cameron’s custom logo, featuring an airplane flying around the world, was used throughout the event including this sign for the kids’ section.
The night ended on a sweet note with a candy buffet stocked with Cameron’s favorite treats. Guests were given custom cups with his logo to fill with candy, creating a fun and delicious way to wrap up the evening.
It was a pleasure working with Cameron’s family on his around the world themed Bar Mitzvah and they were pretty happy too!
“Brynne was so well organized that I didn’t have to worry about a thing at our event. Everything ran smoothly thanks to her work in advance.” – Cameron’s Mom
Thanks to the awesome vendors who helped make it happen and mazel tov to Cameron and his family! Can’t wait to celebrate younger sister Alana in a few years.
