We absolutely loved working with Hannah’s family to plan her colorful (and taco-ful!) floral Bat Mitzvah service and party at VisArts in Rockville, Maryland. The energy, the vibrant decor, and the seamless flow of the day made this event one to remember. VisArts provided the perfect canvas for a celebration bursting with personality, and Katie from our team truly knocked it out of the park. This was no easy feat—the event had a tricky layout and a tight timeline, but everything went off without a hitch from start to finish.
Let’s start with the details: how pretty are these kippot with metallic rainbow stars? They added the perfect touch of sparkle to the ceremony.
Since the service and party took place in the same space, we had to pull off a quick room flip. Within minutes, we transformed the space from a serene, sacred setting with rows of chairs to…
… a colorful fiesta. It was an all-hands-on-deck moment, but the result gave us heart eyes. Check out these soft pink linens paired with colorful high and low floral centerpieces. Thanks to our vendor dream team, the room blossomed with a mix of low and high floral arrangements.
Speaking of flowers, how about this close-up shot? The bright blooms popped beautifully against the colorful table linens, adding layers of texture and color that tied the whole room together. It was like having a garden party indoors—cheerful, elegant, and full of life.
Now, let’s talk about the tacos! The kids enjoyed a gorgeous make-your-own taco bar with a variety of yummy toppings. It was fun, interactive, and a definite crowd-pleaser.
For the adults, we served two-bite mini short rib tacos—perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious.
And you can’t forget the chips with Catering by Season’s world-famous avocado corn salsa. Seriously, yum!

We would recommend Pop Color for Month of planning and commend them on their availability to go over things and also how well they handled a somewhat complicated turnover of events from the service to the party.
We really appreciated everything Katie and her staff did on the event day to make it go so smoothly. There was hardly a misstep, and we were confident that Katie had things under control. The one main thing we were concerned about going into the event was the turnover of the room from the service to the party, but given Katie’s and caterer’s stewardship, everything turned out amazing. We didn’t worry at all and were able to enjoy our day with our friends and family. Katie always answered with a smile and helpful responses.
