Just a week before the world shut down for COVID, I had my final party for 18+ months. If only we knew then…
Anyhow, Zoe’s Equestrian Bat Mitzvah party at Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Bethesda North was a high note in 2020 and I’m glad we got to celebrate. There were so many personal, special touches in this one and I’m excited to share the behind the scenes.
Zoe’s mom did all of the graphic design including the logo. The “Z” is actually made from the number 7 which happened to be part of the event date 3/7/20. It also looks like an “L” for her middle name, Leigh. We used that “Z” in various formats and had different variations of the logo.
You can see her “Z” in a cool pattern on the coffee table. We also used horse silhouettes and horseshoes as a motif throughout the decor. You can also see a secondary logo with her special “Z” and a horseshoe.
My favorite use of the horseshoes was in her custom escort card wall. Each guest had a horseshoe with their table assignment.
We also used the phrase “Kick off your shoes” on these adorable custom dance floor socks for Zoe’s friends.
And onto the adult seating! All of the tables had horseshoe table numbers that were made by the mitzvah family with actual horseshoes from Zoe’s barn. This was a true labor of love and I know it took them hours to prep and make them! One centerpiece option had purple flowers surrounded by candles of various heights.
The other centerpiece option was a lampshade with horse silhouettes galloping around. It was surrounded by more candles and flowers.
A true stunner, right?
Thanks to the awesome vendors who helped make it happen and mazel tov to Zoe and her family!
