I can’t believe that I never blogged this stunner from 2019. Sydney loved her summer camp, so we wanted to bring camp vibes to her Bat Mitzvah party at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. We found the perfect balance of rustic and elegant with the decor.
The party started out with guests collecting their mail–envelopes with their “bunk” assignments. Guests also used the decorative mailboxes to send Sydney mail and for gift envelopes.
We had two different styles of tables to give depth to the space. This was the first table look on long farm tables. We were able to mix rustic elements like lanterns, wood and mason jars with some of Sydney’s favorite colors. There is so much to check out–the colorful lanterns, the woodcuts, the floating candles with submerged sticks, the pops of flowers, the napkin ring…
The second table look was on round tables. We used teal napkins instead of lavender and lots of candles. The farmhouse chairs rounded out the look. I’m loving this aerial shot.
Here is another view of the round tables. You can see that we used a lot of wood elements, such as the base of the woodcut to bring in the rustic, camp vibes.
And of course, we had to finish the night with s’mores! There were s’mores cupcakes, tarts and dessert shooters. Yum!
It was a pleasure working with Sydney’s family. Thanks to the awesome vendors who helped make it happen and mazel tov to Sydney and her family!
