I had a blast working with James and his family for his game and balloon-filled Bar Mitzvah party at Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner. James wasn’t a big dancer but he loved games! We came up with the theme, James Likes Games where each word described the party. It also highlighted his initials – JG. This theme was great because it was full of things James likes and games. Each table was an interest or hobby of James’s including biking, guitar and Pikachu. There was also an entire area of the room filled with all sorts of games including board games, video games, skee ball, pop a shot and more.
My favorite design element was the huge ceiling balloon installation. It acted a divider between the dancing area and the game area.
An arcade area with video games, the claw game, cornhole, skee ball, VR games and more entertained guests all night long.
Adults sat at tables named for some of James’s favorite things.
Playing cards were an on-theme favor for kids and adults.
In fact, you can see that there was a deck of playing cards at each adult place. Organic balloon topiaries were a fun centerpiece and gave the room a lot of color.
How fun! Thanks to the awesome vendors who helped make it happen and mazel tov to James and his family!
