I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ana Martinez Chamorro, owner and photographer of Ana Isabel Photography, on several events and I cannot say enough good things! Ana is the perfect mix of professional, warm and kind, and unobtrusive during an event. She has a ton of experience shooting events of all types from Bar and Bat Mitzvahs to weddings to political gatherings (ask her about photographing VP Kamala Harris!). What was your journey to start Ana Isabel Photography?
I enjoyed the process of making photographs, originally developing my own film in a dark room. The more I did it, the more I became intrigued by storytelling, which led me to photograph for my college newspaper, The Towerlight. That’s when I began photographing portraits, which led me to photographing events. After graduating, I worked in public relations for a few years until realizing I was more passionate about photography. So I jumped full-time into my already growing business.
